The Paradox of Still.

Anahata Katkin pink picture

I’ll explore the paradox of still

within the buzz of my thoughts

and the gentle cocoon of sketching

an outline of now versus what will be.

I’ll enjoy the synchronicities of words,

or the way shadows tilt

and fully embrace musically trills

slipping beneath ordinary.

For I’m fully wrapped in a semicolon;

holding the dot

and resting in the curve

of my ancient river’s messages.
